Light polyester putty Hot Rod

CP 342 Hot Rod is an extremely lightweight polyester finishing putty that fills cavities perfectly and is easy to apply and process. Thanks to its formulation, it does not weigh down the parts being puttyed, making it an ideal choice for multi-coat paint repairs. The product is characterised by its high adhesion strength to the substrate and versatile application. CP 342 Hot Rod can be used on a variety of substrates such as bare steel, galvanised steel, aluminium, acrylic and epoxy primers, old paint finishes, as well as composite and fibreglass products. Available in 1L capacity, this putty is ideal for repairs requiring precision, durability and an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Application

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION 
The product is applied to
a previously sanded and cleaned
substrate. Old coatings should
be removed. The most effective
method is application on an epoxy
primer CP 394. Do not apply putty
on top of reactive primer
MIXING RATIO 
100 parts of CP 342
Hardener: 2%
APPLICATION 
Application in several thin coats.
The product should be cured after
application of each one. Do not exceed
3 mm thickness
MIXING BEFORE USE 
The product must be mixed before
and after adding the hardener
DRYING 
Drying times at 20°C and
65% relative humidity:
- 30-35 min
IR DRYING 
Wait approx. 5 min
~9-11 min before IR drying;
do not exceed 80°C
GRINDING 
Coarse (dry): P100-P120
Finishing (dry): P120-P280
